REGISTRY FOR VIOLET
Hello All~
If anyone is thinking of getting Violet a Welcome Home gift, a registry has been set up for her at myregistry.com (on the top right corner of this page, in the "Fun Stuff" section please click on "Violet's Registry" ).
FYI - As you all know, our last name is hyphenated and the search function will only work if you type in the full name (Shannon-Missal) or just the first part (Shannon), but does not work if you only type in the last part (Missal).

FINALLY...A NAME WE BOTH LOVE!
So our daughter finally has a name...
Violet Cassandra
My great-grandmother's (grandpa's mom) name was Violet.
Larry's mom's name was Sandra.
It's 1 November 2006.
This time last year, I thought we would have sent out photos of our daughter in her adorably cute Halloween costume by now. No such luck. The 6-8 month wait we were originally expecting has now become a 14+ month wait. I just received an email from our agency stating the referrals for the August 24th groups will be received tomorrow. There will be 73 referalls this month, which is a great improvement over the 20 received last month! However, as the process is constantly fluxuating, there is no real way to know when we will be the fortunate ones getting the photos and info of our daughter. As our LID is 20 December, we still have quite a wait ahead of us. With travel approval now taking 4 weeks and then another 4 weeks to the acutal traveling, we are not expecting to travel to China until Spring or Summer 2007.
